Will receive you in a very professional way, no dull time is passed, relaxed and knows deeply about the details of the tour.
During this trip we will talk about the knowledge of the loyal warriors of Christ, whose principals of faith and brotherhood traced the European Crusades. This same wisdom left an imprint in the Portuguese territory, being this wonderful land an unrivalled destination in terms of Templar heritage. Our journey will begin in Santarém, offered to the Knights Templar by the first king of Portugal. Then we will head off to Almourol’s castle, an outstanding and unique fortress thanks to its location in an islet in the Tagus River, which strategically raised difficulties to the enemy. Following the steps of these courageous knights, we reach the headquarters of the Order in Portuguese lands: the Convent of Christ. This monumental structure, classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO, presents a sensational architectural set. To finish our trajectory, we will visit one of the most majestic Portuguese aqueducts: the Aqueduct of Pegões. Classified as a national monument and intact since the 16 th century, this masterpiece was projected by one of the greatest names in Architecture: Filippo Terzi.
