Our trip starts early and two hours later we are in the environs of Evora to make a very special visit to a set of monuments of the time of the Megalitico that will make us go back thousands of years. Then there is the town of Çvora where we spend the rest of the day delighting in this true open-air museum. Évora was considered a UNESCO world heritage site in 1986. According to the organization, Évora is a museum city whose roots date back to Roman times. The golden era was in the sixteenth century, when it was the residence of Portuguese kings. The white houses, the tiles and the balconies stand out in the details of the architecture. That is why Évora is the best example of a city at the height of Portuguese history after the destruction of Lisbon in the earthquake of 1755. Visiting Évora today can be an inspiration. . In addition, UNESCO refers to the medieval walls and buildings as well as the cathedral, convents, palaces, churches and squares as reasons of strength to visit Évora.
