This tour leads us to know Angra do Heroismo, historically the second European city of the Atlantic, famous in the period of Portuguese maritime discoveries, as a strategic and priority port for the Naus, between the 16th and 18th centuries.

Angra, which was a village since 1474, and elevated to the category of city in 1534, with five centuries of existence, preserves in itself a huge treasure rich in history, culture, traditions, and mainly built heritage. This city was classified by UNESCO, in 1983, as a city of World heritage, due to its architectural, technological and landscape ensemble illustrating one or more significant periods in the history of mankind.

Angra maintains its intact Renaissance layout, housing fortresses, churches, and manor houses. Come and walk in this fantastic city, discovering the main streets, squares, and monuments, which on every corner has a history to know.
