Description
Leaving Ponta Delgada to start this adventure you will cross the narrower part of the island arriving at the second largest city of São Miguel - Ribeira Grande, Here, you will see vast green fields divided by walls of volcanic rocks and the mountain of Lagoa do Fogo.
The activity starts with the equipment distribution to participants, followed by a walk of about 30 minutes, until the entry point, where the safety briefing is held in an old stone bridge.
During the canyon, there is a sequence of 3 vertical obstacles (waterfalls) whose transposition will be made with the technique of abseiling (highest waterfall with 15 meters), alternating with small sections of walking, in an area surrounded by lush vegetation and where you can still admire an old hydroelectric plant and hot spring fumaroles. After a short stop for a picnic in the middle of the stream, we continue through a deeper canyon, with higher waterfalls that finish in the well-known Salto do Cabrito waterfall, a natural amphitheater.

⚠ Minimum equipment necessary:
Swimsuit, shoes with hard soles for the activity (Tennis/boots), towel, sunscreen, one change of clothes ( with extra shoes) to wear after the activity. It is recommended that participants tie their hair (if applicable).
Recommended Equipment:
Lycra Shirt, neoprene gloves, proof bag (to keep the phone and/or the camera). A possibility of rental canyoning boots (extra cost: 5.00€)
