If you are an avid hiker and cannot imagine your vacation without exploring some altitudes, Samobor hills will definitely not disappoint you.
Just an hour of a drive from Zagreb is the starting point for this moderate 5-hour hike. The tour is guided by a certified tour guide who will assist you at any moment. Samobor hills and it's highest peak will take your breath away. After soaking in the natural beauty, a more urban experience will happen by visiting Old Town Samobor, a castle ruin situated above the modern day town.
In the morning hours, you will be picked up by your driver-guide and driven to Samobor hills.
The starting point of the hiking route is at the mountain lodge Šoićeva kuća (closed).
From the parking lot, we start the hike. After 2.5 hours of a moderate to easy hike, we will reach the top.
On the way to the top, you will marvel at the evergreen forest, a mixture of Mediterranean and Alpine vegetation.
At the top, you will enjoy some rest, snacks and refreshments.
The descent is around 2 hours. Afterward, you will have a short visit to Samobor Old Town.
This tour can be customized by 2 add-ons, lunch in restaurant that boast with almost a hundred year old hosting tradition and wine tasting at one of the best Croatian wineries. Return to Zagreb is in the early evening hours.
