Baroque Varaždin and Trakošćan Castle Private Tour

Join a local guide for a walking tour through the beautiful center of Varazdin, then head to the 13th-century castle and take a journey through time. Marvel at the valuable collection of artifacts , weapons and paintings as your guide tell you insightful stories about the rich history of the castle and it's owners.

Your driver guide will pick you up at your accommodation at 9:00 AM. As you drive to Varazdin, your expert guide will share an overview of the city’s fascinating history, with fun stories about Croatian life and culture.

Upon arrival to Varaždin, you will start soaking up interesting stories that your guide shares with you on the walking tour. Wandering through Varaždin's streets which are full of historically important buildings of mostly rococo architecture will make you realize why this town was once the capital of Croatia. The pinnacle shall be the old town of Varaždin, once the aristocratic estate.

After the walking tour, you will have time to explore Varaždin at your own pace. The next place you will visit is Varaždin cemetery, one of the most beautiful cemeteries in this part of Europe. After a short walk, we will continue our journey to Trakošćan castle. A walking tour of the castle will take us back to chivalry times. Our day will end with our return to Zagreb in the late afternoon.
