Description
You will be picked up from your Hotel/Vacation Rental and transferred to Évora. Due to its well-preserved old town center, still partially enclosed by medieval walls, and a large number of monuments, dating from early historical periods, Évora is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a member of the Most Ancient European Towns Network. The city has a history dating back more than two millennia!
Take a walk in the city and have some free time for shopping – visit the famous Chapel of Bones, the Roman Temple, and the city’s Cathedral. Of course, you must also visit the Cork Factory! Wondering how it's done?
Later in the afternoon, we'll enjoy a typical lunch in Arraiolos: please allow time to move slowly. Alentejo is famous for that as well as its typical cuisine.
Afterward: a visit to a vineyard and some wine tastings close-by to Arraiolos, in a very ancient estate, still today - family-owned. Traditions are very important in Portugal!
