Sanctuary of Fatima

Batalha Monastery
Batalha Monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in 14th century Manueline and Gothic style to fulfill its promise.

The exterior features several pinnacles, arching, railings, banisters, and windows carved in flaming Gothic style; octagonal chapels and columns. Inside is a vaulted Gothic style and colorful stained glass. Also on this visit you will be able to see the Royal Cloister built by Afonso Domingues in a sober Gothic style but with Manueline style additions by Diogo de Boitaca, the darker Gothic Dom Afonso V Cloister, designed by maestro Fernão de Évora, the fifteenth-century Chapter Room, which contains a beautiful and colorful sixteenth-century stained-glass window. The construction of the huge dome was considered so dangerous that it was done only by death row inmates and is one of the most surprising aspects of this historic journey.

Nazaré
Nazaré is a typical Portuguese village and enjoys an exceptional location, facing a fine sandy beach, which describes a wide curve and offers the best views of the cliff, located about 100 km north of Lisbon and 230 km south of Porto. The Pederneira Viewpoint is located in Pederneira, a historical place in the Nazareth region, a fishermen's land since the 12th century and the seat of the municipality, where Pederneira was together with Alcobaça, the most famous village in this region of Portugal.

Óbidos
Óbidos boasts a beautiful historic center, surrounded by classic crenelated walls, consisting of a maze of streets, the majestic castle, the medieval walls surrounding the historic center, the colossal Visigothic-style Santa Maria; Rua Direita; and the nearly colonial-looking St. James Church. It still deserves to visit places like the Village Gate, the Aqueduct, funded by Queen Catherine of Austria in the 16th century; the Interior Design Center, the Casa da Música auditorium, the Pilar Camoneano monument, built in honor of Camões and designed by Raul Lino in 1932; St. Martin's Chapel, St. Peter's Church
