The glorious history of Athens cannot only be found in its city center but also along its seaside! Join us for a unique 3-hour walking tour along the coastline of Athens. In this tour, you will experience the history of those neighborhoods, while we will have a relaxing walk by the sea along with locals who enjoy their usual walk and admire amazing views right next to the sea. At the end we will enjoy a seafront meal filled with seafood and ouzo by a favorite local tavern!
Start exploring the Athenian Riviera by visiting the Stavros Narchos Foundation Cultural Center houses the National Opera and National Library of Greece. We will walk on its roof(!) which is converted into a beautiful park, see an ancient cemetery and make a quick stop to take photos of the great sea and city view. SNFCC has become very popular among locals!
We will then admire Averof Ship, which is a battleship served as the Greek flagship during most of the first half of the century and participated in Balkan Wars, in the First and Second World War and played a vital role in the establishment of Greek predominance. Here you will also have the chance to admire a replica of an ancient Greek trireme.
Next we will head to the most popular place in the Athenian Riviera. It is the ultimate yacht destination in Greece but also the perfect place to walk and relax while admiring this beautiful area.
At the end we will have a short break to enjoy a meal at a local seaside tavern, delicious sea food paired with ouzo!
