Arrabida: sacred mountains

During this tour, we will pass through outstanding belvederes and privileged sights. Our first stop will be at one of the Portuguese symbols of culture, the incredible Belvedere of Christ the
Redeemer. Here will speak of Lisbon’s history, from the city’s origins to the modern times, while admiring the Tagus River in all its magnitude.
Following this first stop, we will get to know a site of miracles and pilgrimage: Espichel’s Cape and its sanctuary. Afterwards, we will head to the Sacred mountain and stop at Sesimbra’s Castle,
an imposing structure, where we will speak of strategies and tactics of warfare that were put in place by the first king of Portugal, when he conquered this castle from the Moors.
Next we will be heading towards the coastline, where you can enjoy various gastronomic specialties, in Sesimbra. After enjoying a wonderful lunch we will head to the Natural Park of Arrábida that will leave you blown away by its natural beauty. We will enjoy several unique belvederes.
In order to complete our journey, we will visit one of the most outstanding Portuguese fortresses: Palmela’s Fortress. This structure used to be the headquarters of the Order of Saint
James. With a view of 360º over the surrounding lands, you will feel like real warriors and conquerors.
